Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in lovely condition.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. Only W.Germany and markings can be found on the clip ring. This is a relatively easy pen to date, as it has a split ebonite feed, two-piece barrel, brass piston threads and bi-tone 14k nib - placing it between 1985-91. From experience, we'd say that this example is from the earlier part of that window.
The pen is fitted with a fine nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
