Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has been regularly used but is still presented in overall good condition.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. The pen has a. number of featuresd to help date the pen, including split ebonite feed, two-piece barrel, Germany only clip ring marking and bi-tone 18k nib. These features place it around 1990. The black piston threads, place it earlier, but with several of these features coming in, in 1990, the black threads are likely just a case of using up older parts.
The pen is fitted with a broad nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
