Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with an a Montblanc presentation box. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in lovely condition - there is a little discolouration to the ebonite feed and a few spots where the rhodium coating has come off on the nib.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. This is a relatively easy pen to date, as it has a split ebonite feed, two-piece barrel, brass piston threads and bi-tone 14k nib. These features place it between 1985-91, but with only Germany markings on the clip ring, we'd suggest that this dates towards the early part of this date range.
The pen is fitted with a fine nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows...
