Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with a Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and leaflet. The pen has been carefully used over the decades and is presented in overall lovely condition.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. Only Germany markings can be found on the clip ring. The combination of solid ebonite feed, friction fit piston and one-piece barrel, date this likely between 1968-69 - the friction fit pistons were phased out in 1968, but some stock probably still existed when the solid ebonite feed was introduced in 1969.
The pen is fitted with an 18c tri-tone extra fine nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
