Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen is presented in excellent condition and belies its six decades of existence - there is a little bit of ink staining to the ink window.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-coated. This is a relatively easy pen to date, as it has several key features - round ebonite feed with grooved face, 18c tri-tone nib, friction fit piston and round cone ring. The clip ring has only Germany markings. These features narrow it down to between 1965-68.
The pen is fitted with a delightful broad nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
