The Gold Leaf is a stunning release from Montblanc and the design was chosen to represent a contemporary take on the traditional black and gold colourscheme. The barrel and cap are coated in black translucent lacquer, which is then finished in gold leaf - this is applied by hand, with the result being that every pen being slightly different.
The pen is fitted with an 18k ruthenium-coated fine nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
