Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 146 LeGrand Bordeaux Fountain Pen, which comes with a later-style Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and unstamped service guide. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition.
We've always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin writing instruments and sadly as these were only produced for a limited amount of time, firstly in the early 80's and then for a second time in the 1990's - they're now more difficult to find, with most examples looking pretty tired.
This really is a wonderful example and it's also simple to date, as it features the first generation serial number (shorter and in a different font) - which confirms it as a 1991-92 pen.
The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
