Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Classique Bordeaux 'Black Section' Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer - some wear to this) and stamped booklet. The pen was only dipped to test and is presented in virtually as new condition.
This is a very early production version (around the early to mid-1980s) as it features a black resin section - the later models had a matching Bordeaux resin section, but these for the early pens Montblanc simply used the existing black resin from the 144...it seems as though they might have been testing the reaction to the Bordeaux colour, before committing to produce the section in another colour from the existing black. The clip ring features only Germany markings.
The pen is fitted with a 14k monotone extra fine nib and it's a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink. The pen uses the older style push-in Montblanc converter, rather than the current screw-in version.
