Thanks for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Masters of Art Pierre-Auguste Renoir Rollerball / Fineliner Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and stamped booklet. The pen has barely been used (the protective tape is still on the section) and is presented in overall fantastic condition. Only 4810 were produced and this is number 015 (a great low number!).
This edition pays tribute to Renoir, the legendary Impressionist painter. The cap and barrel are crafted from olive wood, with the barrel being daubed with paint. Olive wood was chosen as a nod to the Olive trees in the garden of his house in the south of France. The gold-coated clip takes the form of two brushes, with one that would be used to create fine details and the other for more expansive elements. A very small, but interesting detail is the AG925 sterling silver tip on the barrel cone, which can be used to create silverpoint sketches. The Montblanc snowcap emblem is surrounded by ultramarine coloured resin.
The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you'd rather use it as a fineliner, then you'd simply have to purchase the relevant refill - these are widely available online.
