Thanks for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Masters of Art Gustav Klimt Rollerball / Fineliner Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and stamped booklet. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition (a few tiny light marks on the section). Only 4810 were produced and this is number 015 (a great low number!).
This edition pays tribute to Gustav Klimt, with a specific focus on his beginnings in the Vienna Secession, with elements taken from the masterpieces, Pallas Athene and The Kiss. Klimt was renowned for rebelling against stereotypical concepts and was a pioneer of the avant-garde. The shade of blue used on the pen is a nod to 'The Kiss', with the circles, triangles, lines and swirls, found beneath the translucent lacquer refer to the two lovers. The yellow-gold coated elements have a hammered finish. The cone is set with a green spinel, with the colour evoking Spring.
The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you'd rather use it as a fineliner, then you'd simply have to purchase the relevant refill - these are widely available online.
