Thanks for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck LeGrand Around the World in 80 Days Solitaire Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped booklet - confirming first purchase on 4th January 2022. The pen was only inked once to test and is presented in virtually as new condition - the F sticker, denoting a fine nib, remains on the cone.
Taking its inspiration from the famous novel by Jules Verne, this Solitaire version is an incredibly striking writing instrument. Travelling by steamboat, from London to Bombay, the blue lacquered barrel and cap reflects the waters of the Mediterranean. The milled design, featuring ocean waves, card suits and a cartouche with a laser engraved steam boat. Across the cap top it features the length of the journey, so 18 days from London to Bombay and a total of 80 days.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
