Thanks for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Great Characters The Beatles Special Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped booklet - confirming first purchase on 14th September 2020. The pen has been regularly used and there are consistent usage marks across the pen and trim, including three small chips to the lacquer - because of the colourful striped nature of the pen it does help minimise the appearance a little, so it's still a nice example.
The pen is crafted from multi-striped lacquer, which is a nod to the colours on The Beatles uniform on the cover of their famous album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Love Me Do.
The cone is inspired by the button of the mixing table at the famous Abbey Road studios, whilst the cap takes inspiration from the studios microphone. The ruthenium-coated clip symbolises the iconic Beatles moustache.
The pen is fitted with a 14k double broad nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
