Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Great Characters The Beatles Limited Edition 1969 Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outer), CD and booklet. The pen has never been used and is presented in as new condition (the protective tape remains on the section). Only 1969 (the year Abbey Road was released) examples were produced and this is number 0676.
The Great Characters series has seen many famous names honoured by Montblanc and in 2017 they chose The Beatles! The barrel and cap are finished with a white lacquer, with the design of the cone being inspired by the button of the mixing table at Abbey Road studious and the the cap being shaped like the studios microphone. The pen is adorned with numerous metal inlays, including a Union Jack, the number plate (LMW 281F) on the cover of the album, the peace symbol and their silhouettes on the famous zebra crossing.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
