Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Great Characters Miles Davis Special Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and unstamped booklet. The pen was only inked once to test and is presented in virtually as new condition - the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone.
The Great Characters series has seen many famous names honoured by Montblanc and the Miles Davis is one of the most distinctive offerings.
Arguably the most famous jazz musician of the 20th Century, this edition has many nods to his life and career. The overall shape is inspired by the trumpet, with the clip featuring a finger button design. The 'Heim' mouthpiece that he used is represented by the cone, with the blue colour being a reference to his album "Kind of Blue". The pen is crafted from black resin, with the trim being platinum-coated.
The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
