Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Great Characters James Dean Special Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and information booklet - the back page appears to have been removed. Also included is a 50ml bottle of the Montblanc James Dean ink. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition - the M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone.
The Great Characters series has seen many famous names honoured by Montblanc and the James Dean is one of the most vibrant.
The colour scheme is inspired by the red leather jacket worn by Dean in the film "Rebel Without a Cause", with the engraved pattern reflecting the jeans he also wore. The clip is gun-shaped, which is nod to the famous scene in the film "Giant". The cap ring is engraved wth the words, "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today".
The pen is fitted with an 14k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
