The Great Characters series has seen many famous names honoured by Montblanc and the Queen are the latest!
The design of the pen takes its inspiration from their 1991 Greatest Hits II album, with the blue and gold echoing the design of the album cover. The 'tools of their trade' are engraved on the blue resin - a microphone and bass on the cap and a guitar and drum kit on the barrel. The barrel cone is a nod to Brian May, with it resembling the volume and tone controls on his electric guitar. The cap top design is inspired by the crown that Freddie Mercury wore for the closing rendition of God Save The Queen. The clip resembles the iconic microphone stand that he used.
The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
