Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Boheme Doue Gold-Plated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box and service guide - confirming first purchase in May 2025. The pen was a retail display example and has never been inked, it's presented in wonderful condition. The M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone and the empty demonstration cartridge can be found inside the pen.
The Boheme fountain pens were available in three sizes – essentially small, medium and large. This is the small (the most common) and it features the ingenious retractable nib, which was modelled on this historic safety pens. To raise or lower the nib unit, you simply turn the end of the pen – when not in use the nib is fully retracted. This is a cartridge filling pen.
The Doue Gold-Plated or as we refer to it as 'The Dimple Model', was released in 2001 and features a dimpled design on both the cap and barrel. The barrel is crafted from black resin, which has a satin finish with the cap being gold-plated. The clip features a synthetic, paramount cut, onyx.
Both serial number and Germany markings can be found on the clip ring. The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and is mentioned it's cartridge only.
