Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc 100 Year Anniversary 1906-2006 Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer - the label appears to be for another limitation number) and information booklet. The pen has never been inked and is presented in fantastic condition. The M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the barrel and the empty demonstration cartridge is inside the pen. Only 15,000 were produced and this is number 04253.
The 100 Year historical writing instruments were released in 2006 and have many features that hark back to the original safety pens - with them infact being modelled on the original Simplo Rouge et Noir. These are some of the most recognisable modern Montblanc pens and in 2006 it was a big move to bring back the historical logo, featuring the mountain itself. This, coupled with the domed ivory coloured snowcap really do add to the historical feel.
These are very handsome and and sit extremely comfortably in your hand. The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and the nib is either revealed or hidden by a sliding mechanism. It's a cartridge filler only.
