Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Mercury 'Francois des Trixhes' Tibaldi Impero Celluloid Fountain Pen, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pen has barely been used and is presented in overall wonderful condition.
This is a fascinating pen, with only 80 being produced (this is number 11). Around the year 2000, Tibaldi stopped producing pens - the distributor for the brand in the Benelux countries, Robert Dubois, managed to procure a small amount of the legendary Impero celluloid and created these 80 pens under the Mercury Pens brand. The pens were manufactured by Stipula and the result is absolutely fantastic... the Impero celluloid requires no introduction and is one of the most sought-after of all the celluloids. The trim is sterling silver.
The pen is fitted with an 18k Tibaldi nib and it's a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
