Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Graf von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year 2011 Fountain Pen, which comes with its large lacquered presentation box (including outers) and small pen transport packaging box. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition (a couple of tiny marks to the presentation box). This pen is number 0163 and only 1761 were produced.
Graf von Faber-Castell are renowned for the quality and finish of their writing instruments and the Pen of the Year series is the flagship example of their craftsmanship. Since the series began various themes, materials and countries have been the focus - this particular pen is the 2011 release, which also celebrated their 250th anniversary. The barrel features six vibrant Jade panels, which have been individually hand-chiselled. The cap top and barrel cone are finished with faceted and polished stones.
All releases in the Pen of the Year series are very special, but this really is a stunning edition.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it's a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
