Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this lovely S.T. Dupont Rendez-Vous Soleil Sun Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Dupont presentation box and information booklet. The pen has never been inked and is presented in excellent condition – the box opens and closes correctly, there is however a loud click when you open / close the lid. Only 2000 were produced and this is number 0164.

As with all Dupont pens, the quality of fit and finish is something to behold, with all elements being beautifully finished.

The Rendez-Vous collection was one of the earliest Dupont limited editions and it was available as either a Moon or Sun version. This is the Soleil ‘Sun’, with it’s gold-plated and stunning red chinese lacquer barrel and cap. The trim is also gold-plated.

It’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen, so you have the best of both worlds. It’s fitted with an 18k medium nib. To gain access to the converter or cartridge, you turn a little lock (anti clockwise) at the base of the barrel and the section then lifts away from the barrel. You then fill the pen and reverse the procedure.
