Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Platinum Izumo Green Urushi Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden Platinum presentation box (including outer), pen kimono and information leaflets. The pen has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condtion.

The Izumo is crafted from ebonite, which then has five coats of Urushi lacquer applied on top. Following this, three coats of wax-polish are applied, rubbed with pulp paper and then oil polished. The Tamenuri process gives a subtle green hue where the barrel and cap meet with the trim being gold-plated.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and being a cartridge / converter (supplied), you’ve the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
