Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Parker Duofold Centennial DNA Flame Red Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes its lacquered Parker presentation box (including outers), limitation certificate, polishing cloth and cartridges. The pen has never been used and is presented in essentially as new condition. Only 100 were produced and this is number 085.

Parker have a long, rich heritage of creating impressive writing instruments and the Duofold range is at the heart of this. With its incredibly detailed production process, including 130 components and 100 quality control tests.

The DNA pens are legendary offerings, with the red version being the rarer of the two. These pens were produced for the London Pen Show in 2009, with 9 of the 100 being kept by Parker and 1 being auctioned. The barrel and cap are crafted from a flame red resin, which has myriad of red and almost black tones. The star of the show is the extremely intricate helical chiselled pattern, which takes its inspiration from the structure of DNA. The trim is platinum-plated.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds.
