Thanks for looking at our listing for this Onoto Magna Flanders Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large lacquered wooden presentation box (including outer), information leaflets and certificate – confirming first purchase on 27th August 2021. Only 200 pens were produced and this is 11. The pen has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condition.
The barrel and cap are crafted from black acrylic, but the real intrigue here is that the trim and cap ring are produced from copper – it was retrieved from British artillery shell drive brands discovered in the fields of the Somme region in Francew and Ypres in Belgium. The enamel poppy sitting atop the cap, gets its colour from red enamel mixed with earth gathered from Essex Farm, Ypres… this was the location where the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ was written.
The pen is fitted with an 18k size 7 italic medium (the work was carried out at the point of initial order) nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows…

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
