Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Omas Paragon The Cinema Pearl Grey Celluloid Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its film reel canister style OMAS presentation box (including outer) and stamped booklet – confirming first purchase on 29th August 1998. The pen has been lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition (some marks to the metal case). Only 3890 were produced and this is number 1523.

 

 

 

 

OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.

 

 

 

 

The Paragon is one of their most recognisable pens and they have an elegance and simplicity that only a manufacturer like OMAS could have achieved. Released in 1995 to celebrate 100 years of film, the cap band is engraved with images of an old cinema projector and a film reel.

 

 

 

 

The barrel and cap are crafted from wonderful Pearl Grey celluloid, which features myriad of tones. The trim is gold-plated.

 

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
