Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Omas 360 ‘Modern’ Bordeaux Fountain Pen, which comes with its large OMAS presentation box (including outer). The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition – there is a lot of wear to the inner lining of the presentation box, which is usual on OMAS boxes of this period.
OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.
The 360 was arguably their most recognisable pens and in 2007 they launched a ‘modern’ version of the 360. Still featuring the iconic triangular design, it has a slightly flattened clip and cleaner lines. It was quite a devisive model, with some OMAS fans applauding the new design and others sticking more with the classic 360, so after approximately 5 years it was discontinued.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Virtually As New
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
