Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this massively rare Nakaya Long Piccolo Ama-iro Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer) and pen kimono. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition.

Nakaya require no introduction and if you’ve got this far then likely you’ll be familiar with their wonderful writing instruments.

The pen is hand-turned from solid ebonite rod stock and finished with multiples layers of urushi lacquer. This is an extremely rare pen for two reasons, firstly the Long Piccolo is only produced for Aesthetic Bay and secondly Ama-Iro is a colour that Nakaya barely ever produce… they’ve just announced that they will take very limited orders with delivery not expected until April 2024. It’s blue tones have to be seen to be appreciated.

The pen is fitted with a 14k soft medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) pen, so your choice here is bottled ink.
