Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Writers Edition William Shakespeare Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped information booklet – we’ll also include a bottle of the Montblanc Shakespeare ink. The pen was only dipped to test and is presented in overall wonderful condition (a tiny mark on the cap top, shown in the photos). The F sticker, denoting a fine nib, remains on the cone. Only 8700 pens were produced and this is number 7548.

Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2016 it was William Shakespeare.

The black and white design is a nod to the flags that flew at the Globe Theatre, with white for comedy and black for tragedy. The clip is inspired by his signature earring and the octagonal cap is also a reference to the Globe. The gold-plated ring has several references to his plays.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
