Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Writers Edition Leo Tolstoy Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (the pen was originally part of a set) and stamped information booklet – confirming first purchase on 26th October 2015. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition – there are a couple of small marks on the presentation boxes. The M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone. Only 9000 were produced and this is an interesting number, 0666!
Launched in 2015, as the yearly offering from the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Tolstoy is one of the most sought-after pens from the series.
Payting tribute to the great Russian author, known for works such as “Anna Karenina” and “War and Peace”. The hammered silver-plated barrel is a nod to his philosophy of working the land with his own hands. The cap is crafted from a dark grey resin, with the cone being a blue marbled resin – these echo the covers of his first major works along with the study where he wrote them.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…
- Virtually As New Condition
- Book Style Presentation Box
- Medium Nib
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
