Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Writers Edition Jonathan Swift Fountain Pen, which comes with its book style Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped information booklet. The pen has barely been used and is presented in overall fantastic condition. Only 12800 pens were produced and this is number 08010. The label on the branded outer is a mismatch for the ballpoint version, this has obviously happend when originally supplied, as the dealer has ticked ‘fountain pen’ but then put the product code for the ballpoint.

 

 

 

Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2012 it was Jonathan Swift.

 

 

 

The pen takes its inspiration from “Gulliver’s Travels”. It’s crafted from black lacquer and decorated with inlays reminiscent of the ropes used to bind Gulliver. The cap is particularly interesting as it’s shaped like Gulliver’s tricorn hat and it always features Swift’s engraved signature.  The clip reflects the staircar that the mayor of Liliput Island had to climb to talk to Gulliver.

 

 

 

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
