Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Franz Kafka Fountain Pen, Ballpoint Pen and Mechanical Pencil Set which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outer), polishing cloth and stamped booklet. The fountain pen has never been inked and all three are presented in overall fantastic condition. All three writing instruments have the limitation number 03948.

Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2004 it was Franz Kafka.

The barrel and cap are crafted from a semi-transparent dark red resin, with the trim being sterling silver. The design is inspired by his most famous work “The Metamorphosis”, with the the tapered barrel making this one of the most interesting designs from the series.

The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib, which features an engraving of a cockroach. Due to the shape of the barrel, the pen is fitted with a captive converter, so your choice here is bottled ink. The ballpoint will have a new refill and the pencil has 0.7mm leads.
