Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 888 Joseph II Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its lacquered presentation box. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 3444. The pen was only removed from its sealed pouch to confirm nib grade, so it’s presented in as new condition – there are some very light storage marks on the presentation box.

In 2012, Montblanc honoured the legendary Roman Emperor, Joseph II. The design takes its inspiration from the Royal crest and the imperial coat of arms. The red and white lacquered finish recalls the national colours of Austria. The cap top is reminiscent of the Imperial Crown.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine (slightly towards an extra fine) nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
