Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Homage to Napoleon Bonaparte Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its large Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and booklet. The pen has barely been used and is presented in overall wonderful condition – the protective tape remains on the clip, cone and section. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 0419.
In 2021, Montblanc honoured the legendary political and military leader, Napoleon Bonaparte. The barrel and cap are finished with a navy blue lacquer, adorned with a bee design. The blue represents Napoleon’s uniform, with the bees diconnecting from Bourbons and linking to Merovingiens. The clip takes its inspiration from a blade, with the red stone paying homage to Josephine’s coronation ring.
The 18k extra fine nib (this was swapped at the point of initial purchase) has an engraving of Napoleon wearing a bicorn hat. It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
