Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 165 Classique Bordeaux Vermeil Mechanical Pencil, which comes with an IZODS presentation box. The pencil has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition.

We’ve always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin writing instruments and sadly as these were only produced for a limited amount of time, firstly in the early 80’s and then for a second time in the 1990’s – they’re now more difficult to find, with most examples looking pretty tired.

This is the rare Vermeil version (gold-plated over sterling silver), which works brilliantly with the dark red tones of the resin.

Both Germany and serial number markings can be found on the clip ring. The pencil is fitted with 0.5mm leads.
