Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstuck 162 LeGrand Bordeaux Rollerball Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box and stamped service guide – confirming first purchase on 28th November 2000. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition – there are two very fine cracks in the barrel threads (common on this model from this period), but this doesn’t affect usage of the pen.
We’ve always been a huge admirer of the Bordeaux resin writing instruments and sadly as these were only produced for a limited amount of time, firstly in the early 80’s and then for a second time in the 90s to early 2000s – they’re now more difficult to find, with most examples looking pretty tired.
Both serial number and Germany markings can be found on the clip ring.
The pen is fitted with a new rollerball refill. If you’d rather use it as a fineliner, then you’d simply have to purchase the relevant refill – these are widely available online.
The important details are as follows…
– Fantastic Condition
– Serial Number and Germany markings present
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
