Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box and information booklets. The pen has never been inked and is presented in overall fantastic.
This example likely originally dates from 1985 as it’s the only year when the following features combine – two-piece barrel, 14k bi-tone nib, split ebonite feed, black piston threads and only Germany clip rings markings. Obviously there could well have been parts remaining after the piston threads were changed to brass, so it may be a year or so later in terms of an actual production date.
The pen is fitted with an extra fine (possibly slightly towards a fine) 14k nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
The important details are as follows…
14k Bi-Tone Extra Fine (slightly towards a fine) Nib
Piston Filling System
Montblanc Presentation Box
Fantastic Condition
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
