Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Visconti Opera Crystal Demonstrator Fountain Pen, which comes with its Visconti presentation box, information booklet and identity card. The pen has never been inked and is presented in excellent condition... there are a few light, what look like storage marks, on the barrel. We've also highlighted that the facets on the cap and barrel are ever so slightly out of alignment. Only 1000 were produced and this is number 0745.
The squared circle shape of the Opera makes it not only eye-catching, but also very comfortable long writing sessions. This is the Opera Crystal, which is crafted from clear resin, with the trim being platinum-coated.
The pen features the patented double reservoir power filler – you simply unscrew the end of the barrel, pull up the rod, place the nib in an ink bottle and push the rod back down to fill! It’s one of our favourite filling systems and the ink capacity is huge. Also included is an adaptor to use it as a snorkel / mosquito filler... it's the same process, but the adaptor attaches to the nib and then ensures that the maximum amount of ink is drawn in to the reservoir, but also that ink doesn't then need to be cleaned off the section.
The pen is fitted with Visconti's tubular Chromium SmarTouch medium nib.
