Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Visconti Torpedo Blue Emotion Ruthenium Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Visconti presentation box (including outer), warranty card and stamped information leaflet. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition – there is small mark on the cap top, which is shown in the photos. Only 888 examples were produced and this is number 368.

The Torpedo is a large fountain pen, which has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The pen has a shape much like the OMAS Ogiva, but larger – the barrel and cap feature deep blue unidirectional carbon fibre (this has a completely different texture to the woven version), with the brass overlay being ruthenium-coated. The barrel is skeletonised, so the ink reservoir is visible.

The design of the pen takes its inspiration from the ‘Bolidisimo’ design trend, introduced by graduates from the University of Florence in the 1980s.

The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and the pen features the double reservoir filling system, so bottled ink is your choice here.
