Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Taccia Miyabi Kaga Summer Shimmer Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its wooden Taccia presentation box (including outer), pen kimono and information leaflet. The pen has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condition. Only 100 were produced and this is number 44.

The Kaga Limited Editon collection takes its inspiration from the 17th Century, when the feudal lord of the Kaga Domain, Tsunanori Maeda, travelled and brought back a number of historically important craftsmanship techniques, known as Hyakko-Hisho. Each pen is hand made in Taccia’s urushi studio on Wajima. The Summer Shimmer features a smooth, but almost bark-like finish, with the vibrancy of the yellow urushi lacquer, which has a shimmering gold finish, being extremely eye-cartching. The black lower later shows through, to create this fascinating finish.

The pen is a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds. The pen is fitted with an 18k Sailor medium medium nib.
