Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Parker Duofold Centennial Black Gold Fountain Pen, which comes with its Parker presentation box (including outer). The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition. The Parker engraving on the cap shows a date code of PC, making this as a Q2 1987 pen and such from the first year of production. The sticker on the outside of the box mentions a medium nib, but we’d say that the pen is fitted with a fine.
Parker have a long, rich heritage of creating impressive writing instruments and the Duofold range is at the heart of this. With its incredibly detailed production process, including 130 components and 100 quality control tests.
The pen is crafted from black resin with the trim being gold-plated.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib (this is the older design with 18k and 750 running up the side of the nib) and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied), so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
The important details are as follows…
Condition: Lovely
Box: Parker
Nib: Fine
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
