Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Omas Princess Saft Green Celluloid Fountain Pen, which comes with an izods presentation box and OMAS pouch. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition – there is some plating wear to the top of the clip.

This is an interesting pen, as it has the same barrel length as the Princess (so smaller than a Dama), but without the tassle cap. The length, when capped, is 11.2cms.

OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.

The Princess was the smallest offering in range and they have an elegance and simplicity that only a manufacturer like OMAS could have achieved.

The barrel and cap are crafted from legendary Saft Green celluloid, which has myriad of gold, black and green tones. The trim is gold-plated. The greek key design can be found on the capn and on the section the year marking, of 1993, can be found.

The pen features a piston filling mechanism, so bottled ink is your choice here. It’s fitted with an 18k broad nib.
