Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Writers Edition Voltaire Mechanical Pencil which comes with its book-style Montblanc presentation box (including outer) and unstamped booklets. The pencil has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condition – the 0.7mm sticker remains on the barrel. Only 12000 were produced and this is number 10851. There are two fine cracks on the black plastic inner element of the inner mechanism – it has no affect on the pencils usage, but is mentioned for a complete description.

Every year since 1992 Montblanc have released a Writers Edition and in 1995 they chose Voltaire. The black resin represents the unfathomale nature of his thoughts with the vermeil (gold-plated over sterling silver) trim represents the richness of his possessions. His signature is engraved on the cap.

The pencil is fitted with 0.7mm leads.
