Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Thomas Mann Fountain Pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and unstamped booklet. The pen has barely been used and is presented in wonderful condition – the F sticker, denoting a fine nib, remains on the cone. Only 12000 were produced and this is number 06079.
Every year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2009 it was Thomas Mann, the renowned 20th Century writer, best known for his masterpiece “Buddenbrooks”.
The pen is finished in black lacquer, with platinum-plated inlays inspired by the Art Deco era. The use of these colours and materials is a nod to the different relationships between the characters in “Buddenbrooks”.
The pen is fitted with an 18k fine nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.
