Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Homer Ballpoint Pen, which comes with its Homer Montblanc presentation box (including outers – this is a mismatch for the rollerball version) and information booklet (the back page has been removed). The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall excellent condition. Only 10300 were produced and this is number 02508.

 

 

 

Launched in 2018, as the yearly offering from the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Homer is one of the most striking and recognisable pens from the series. This tribute to the author of the epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey, is a wonderful creation.

 

 

 

 

Taking its design inspiration from the story of the Trojan horse, the overall shape is a nod to the horse itself, with the back and clip reflecting the spear of Achilles. The engravings found on the cone and rings use motifs found on the traditional Greek pottery, with the colour of the pen also reflecting the colour of the pottery of that time.
