Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this wonderful Montblanc Homer Writers Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with its Homer Montblanc presentation box (including outers) and stamped information booklet – confirming first purchase on 26th July 2018. The pen has never been used and is presented in virtually as new condition – there are a couple of small marks on the presentation boxes. The M sticker, denoting a medium nib, remains on the cone and the protective tape can still be found on the section. Only 9800 were produced and this is number 4460.

Launched in 2018, as the yearly offering from the Montblanc Writers Edition, the Homer is one of the most striking and recognisable pens from the series. This tribute to the author of the epic poems, the Iliad and the Odyssey, is a wonderful creation

Taking its design inspiration from the story of the Trojan horse, the overall shape is a nod to the horse itself, with the back and clip reflecting the spear of Achilles. The engravings found on the cone and rings use motifs found on the traditional Greek pottery, with the colour of the pen also reflecting the colour of the pottery of that time.

The pen is fitted with a #9 18k medium nib and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink. The Homer is always particularly coveted due to the #9 nib, which on Writers Edition is only found on this, the Hemingway and Dumas.
