Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Max von Oppenheim Fountain Pen, which comes with its lacquered presentation box (including outers) and unstamped booklet. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 405.The pen has never been inked and is presented in virtually as new condition – the M sticker, confirming a medium nib, remains on the cone.
In 2009, Montblanc honoured Baron Max von Oppenheim, a man known for his passion for exploring and discovering the beauty of the Middle East. The design is inspited by the domes of Eastern Mosques, with the sterling silver barrel and cap featuring fresco inspired lacquered inlays. The gold-plated rings recall the designs and reliefs from Tell Halaf.
The 18k medium nib has an engraving of a Bedouin motif and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

Limitation Number present
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
