Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Ludovico Sforza Fountain Pen, which comes with its lacquered presentation box (including outers) and unstamped booklet. As with other POA pens, only 4810 were produced and this is number 3745.The pen has never been inked and is presented in fantastic condition. There a few incredibly light marks to the presentation box, these are almost impossible to capture on photos, but we simply mention for a complete description.
In 2013, Montblanc honoured the Duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza. The design of the cap top and cone reflects the architecture of the Castello Sforzesco. The pen is crafted from black lacquer, which is adorned with ornaments inspired da Vinci’s ceiing fresco from the Sala delle Asse. The embossed cap ring is a nod to the ‘testone’, which was a silver coin minted in honour of Sforza in the Italian Renaissance. The trim is sterling silver.
The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib (engraved with the Sforza coat of arms) and it’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
