Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Montblanc Patron of Art 4810 Henry E. Steinway Limited Edition Fountain Pen, which comes with it’s large presentation box (including outers) and unstamped information booklet. The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in overall fantastic condition (the protective tape remains on the section). Only 4810 were produced and this is number 3343.
In 2014, Montblanc honoured the true master of piano manufacturing, Henry E. Steinway. German born Steinway, first started making pianos in his kitchen, before he immigrated to the US to set up a company which would become a name that is truly synonymous with exquisite pianos. The pen features the traditional black and gold colour scheme found on a Steinway grand piano.
The cap is decorated with the very heart of the instrument, the harp or overstring piano. The shape of the gold-plated clip is a reference to the screw clamps used for the bending the piano rim into shape. The name ‘Steinway & Sons’ is engraving on the piston cone ring.
The 18k medium nib has a finely engraved portrait of Steinway himself! It’s a piston filler, so your choice here is bottled ink.

With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
