Description
Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this extremely rare Montblanc Noir et Noir ‘Boheme’ Fountain pen, which comes with its Montblanc presentation box. The pen has been regularly used over the years, so some usage marks, but overall it’s presented in very good condition.
This pen, although it appears incredibly similar to the Boheme Noir, was actually released prior to the Boheme name being used. With the Noblesse range of pens coming to an end, Montblanc wanted to release a new range, this time using a retractable nib. So in June 1999 the Noir et Noir and Rouge et Rouge pens were released. Then in September 1999 they were withdrawn from sale, due to a copyright issue. It’s estimated that only approximately 5000 of these were sold.
The Noir et Noir differs from the Boheme that was then released in the following year, by having an engraved ring at the end of the barrel and no ring on the grip section. The clip rings also don’t feature a serial number.
The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and as with the Boheme range it’s a cartridge only pen. The Noir et Noir features a synthetic onyx gemstone on the clip.
The important details are as follows…
– 14K Medium Nib
– Very Good Condition
– Montblanc Presentation Box
With every pen that we sell we provide a card that includes the manufacturer, model, serial / limitation number and date it was purchased from us. We do this because our customers like to have documentation showing that it’s been purchased from a trusted seller. As the Financial Times said recently in their How To Spend It publication – “izods is an e-cache of ultra fine fountain pens”.
