Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Montblanc Noblesse 1st Generation Gold-Plated Fountain Pen, which comes with a modern Montblanc presentation box. The pen has been regularly, but carefully used, and is presented in overall lovely condition.

This is a 1st generation pen, which is crafted from brass and then gold-plated. The cap and barrel have an engraved pinstripe design.

So what makes this Noblesse so special… when Montblanc were looking to make further inroads in to the burgeoning Saudi Arabian market in the 1970’s, they believed that the iconic snowcap logo was too similar to the Star of David. With relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia obviously strained, they decided to change the logo to a white triangle. So for an extremely brief period Montblanc launched their pens with the riagnle, before a significant backlash from both the Israeli and Saudi sides brought this to a swift halt.

The pen is fitted with a 14k medium nib and it’s a cartridge / converter (supplied) filler, so you have the best of both worlds when it comes to ink.
